Eliana Girard

Eliana started her career off at 16yrs old dancing as an apprentice for Joffrey Ballet. Realizing Ballet didn’t fully fit her big personality, she tried dancing for American Ballet Theater and came across the same emotionally constricting problem : ballet dancers are obsessed about what they eat and never live fully in the present.  Eliana quickly changed paths and was apart of the second company for Alvin Ailey. She thrived in the modern dance culture and also was a part of the voguing House of Ninjas. She values the knowledge of all dance styles and made it her life’s work to absorb as much artistic knowledge as possible.  From there, Eliana moved to Montreal and joined as the youngest cast member of the new Cirque Du Soleil show : “Viva Elvis”. After Montreal, she moved to Las Vegas where she resided for almost 3 years, starting as a dancer and leaving as an aerialist for the international circus.  Her mother Della convinced her to audition for a tv show called “So You Think You Can Dance”. After a lot of resistance, Eliana gave in and auditioned in Los Angeles having no idea how this one step would forever change her life. Even though she had to dance for her life on the second live episode, almost kicking her off the show, Eliana ended up winning season 9 of the entire internationally broadcasted competition.  From there she went on tour with Taylor Swift and danced for artists like Jennifer Lopez, Snoop Dog, Lorde,  NAS, Nelly, Neon Trees, Ed Sheeran, Jason Derulo, Kelly Rowland, Jordan Sparks, Miley Cyrus, and more. She spent time internationally dancing for the German artist Helene Fischer as well as the Israeli companies Batsheva and Vertigo. Eliana has spent many years traveling the globe and sharing her love and knowledge of dance with thousands of people, and because of these life experiences it has brought her to politics where she soon sees her career path maneuvering towards.  -You never know how good you have it until you live in someone else’s shoes.  - Unless there is a stable economy, there is no space for the arts to grow and thrive into the profitable industry it has become today.   Social Media  Twitter : @dance9eliana Instagram : @iamelianarose  Facebook : https://www.facebook.com/Dance9Eliana
