    "Dr. Jim Logan held numerous positions in a distinguished career at NASA including Chief of Flight Medicine and Chief of Medical Operations at Johnson Space Center in Houston. He served as Mission Control Surgeon or Crew Surgeon for many shuttle missions and supervised the development of the first inflight clinical care facility for the space station era. After a year at NASA Headquarters, he became the first Provost of International Space University in Strasbourg, France. Upon returning to the USA, he consulted for The RAND Corporation and co-founded the American Telemedicine Association; providing expertise to a variety of professional organizations, international & domestic hospital-based healthcare systems and the DoD. Returning to NASA JSC he became Chief of Medical Informatics & Health Care Systems and senior medical officer in the Clinical Services Branch of the Space Medicine Division. Dr. Logan left NASA in 2012 to complete a medical fellowship in Undersea & Hyperbaric Medicine at Duke University. Currently, he is CEO and Co-founder of the Space Enterprise Institute, a non-profit 501c3 educational foundation. Board certified in Aerospace Medicine and recipient of NASA’s Distinguished Speakers Award, his lecturing activities have taken him to fourteen countries on five continents. An expert in peak human performance, deep space exploration missions and space colonization, Dr. Logan has been featured on PBS, The History Channel, NatGeo, Discovery USA, CanadaAM and numerous radio talk shows. He is frequently quoted in various print and online media. "
